Data Privacy
How your data and your respondents' data are handled.
Your data is yours
Your surveys, responses and contacts belong to your workspace. Other workspaces cannot see them — access is enforced in the database itself, not only in the interface.
Export everything
Settings → Account has an export option that produces a copy of your workspace data. Use it for your own records, or to satisfy a data request.
Delete your account
The same screen can permanently delete your account and its data. This cannot be undone, so export first if you want a copy.
Anonymous responses
A survey can be set to collect responses without linking them to a contact — see Survey Settings. Use it when honesty matters more than attribution, such as employee feedback.
Your obligations to respondents
You are the one who collected the data, so:
- Ask only for what you will use. Every extra personal field is a liability without a purpose.
- Say what you will do with the answers, in the survey itself.
- Honour deletion requests. You can delete individual responses and contacts.
- Look after exports. A CSV on a laptop is outside every control described here — see Export Responses.
Warning — Do not ask for card numbers, passwords or government identity numbers in a survey. There is no configuration that makes that safe.
