Email Automation
Send follow-up emails automatically.
The most common automation is an email that goes out on its own after something happens.
Build it
Trigger: Survey completed (your survey)
Step 1: Wait 2 hours
Step 2: Send email (template: "Thanks for your feedback")
Step 3: Add tag "thanked"
Before you activate
- The email template exists and you have previewed it.
- Your sending address is verified.
- The trigger is scoped to the right survey, not "any survey".
Good uses
- Thank-you after a response. Short, and says what happens next.
- Welcome after a contact is created. What you do, what they can expect from you.
- Nudge before an event, driven by a tag applied when someone registers.
Getting the timing right
Immediate is right for a receipt or a confirmation. For anything that should read as considered, a Wait step of a few hours is better.
Watch the allowance
Automated emails count against your plan's monthly email allowance in exactly the same way campaign emails do. An automation triggered by a bulk import can spend a month's allowance in minutes.
Warning — Deactivate email automations before a large CSV import, then reactivate afterwards.
