Automation Overview

What automations are and what they can do today.

An automation runs a sequence of steps whenever something happens in your workspace. It replaces the follow-up work nobody has time to do by hand.

    The shape of an automation

Every automation is one trigger followed by a list of steps, run in order.

    Trigger: Survey completed
    Step 1: Wait 1 day
Step 2: Send email "Thanks for your feedback"
    Step 3: Add tag "responded"

    What you can build

    • Thank people automatically after they respond.
    • Tag respondents so you can find them later.
    • Add a new contact to a nurture list.
    • Post to another system with a webhook.

    Where they live

Engage → Automations. Each automation is a draft until you set it active, and you can see its run history to confirm it is doing what you expect.

    What is not available yet

Automations run every step in order. There is no branching — no "if the score was low, do this instead". If you need different treatment for different answers, build two automations with different tag triggers and tag the contact from your survey follow-up actions.
