Add a contact

1. Go to Audience → Contacts.
2. Click Add contact.
3. Fill in the fields you have. Only one of email or phone is really needed — email for campaigns, phone for WhatsApp.
4. Add tags, comma separated, for example vip, newsletter.
5. Save.

Phone numbers

Store phone numbers in full international format including the country code. A number without one cannot be messaged on WhatsApp.

For more than a handful, use a CSV — see Import Contacts.

Tip — Add tags as you go rather than planning to tidy up later. Tagging a contact at the moment you add them takes two seconds; retro-tagging a list of four hundred does not.
