Customize Fonts

Choose the typeface and text size for your survey.

    Change the font

In the survey's design settings, pick a font family and a base text size. Both apply to the whole survey — questions, options and buttons.

    Choosing well

    • Pick one family and stay with it. Mixing two rarely helps a form.
    • Sans-serif faces read better at small sizes on screens.
    • If your brand font is decorative, use it for the survey title only and keep questions in something plain.

    Size

The default size is chosen to be readable on a phone. Making the text smaller to fit more on screen is a false economy — respondents zoom, lose their place, and abandon.

Making it slightly larger is usually safe, and is worth doing if your audience skews older.

Tip — Preview on the phone frame after any font change. A typeface that looks refined on a laptop can be unreadably light on a phone.
