Generate a summary

Open a survey's report and go to the AI Insights tab. Generate a summary and you get a written analysis of that survey's responses — recurring themes, notable patterns, and what stands out in the open-text answers.

It is most valuable on open-ended questions, where reading several hundred free-text answers by hand is the alternative.

Sentiment

Free-text answers are also analysed for sentiment, so you can see the balance of positive and negative comments without reading each one.

Use it as a starting point

The summary is generated from your data, but it is still generated. Before quoting it:

• Check any specific claim against the actual responses.
• Be wary of conclusions drawn from a small number of responses.
• Read the raw comments yourself for anything you plan to act on. The summary tells you where to look; it is not a substitute for looking.

Credits

Generating insights uses your plan's AI credits. The remaining balance is shown in the workspace.

Tip — Regenerate the summary after a meaningful number of new responses. An insight drawn from the first thirty answers often does not survive the next three hundred.
