Preview Your Survey

    Check the survey as a respondent before you publish it.

    Open the preview

    Click Preview in the builder. The survey opens exactly as a respondent will see it, including your theme, logo and logic.

    Preview submissions are not saved to your results.

    Check it on a phone

    Switch the preview to the phone frame. Most survey responses arrive on a phone, and problems that are invisible on a wide screen show up immediately there: long option labels wrapping badly, a matrix question that needs sideways scrolling, an image that pushes the submit button off screen.

    A short checklist

    • Answer the survey the whole way through, once per logic branch.
    • Confirm required questions block progress when empty.
    • Confirm validation messages read clearly.
    • Check the thank-you page and any redirect.
    • Read every question out loud. Anything you stumble over will confuse a respondent.

    Tip — Ask one person who knows nothing about the project to take the preview. They will find wording problems you cannot see any more.
